Design Applications cc is a building and civil engineering construction company established in 1996.

Design Applications is one of the SME that is black-owned, managed and controlled construction companies in the country. Throughout its years of pursuing excellence, the company has successfully earned recognition as a significant player in the South African building and civil construction industry landscape. Design Applications plays a pivotal role in the provision of social and commercial infrastructure through its unique management capabilities, and is a contributing partner in South Africa’s transforming economy.

The Founder of the company Mr. Vincenzo Fiorentina started the corporation as a Painting and Deco business and to meet the challenges in the construction industry was then joined by Thabo Moumakwe who acquired 75% of shares.

When Design Application’s founder Mr. Vincenzo Fiorentino retired in 2014, the company was taken over by Thabo Moumakwe who acquired 100% of the shares.

Thabo Moumakwe worked at a JSC- listed construction company as a commercial manager. At Design Applications, Thabo formed divisions: Building Construction and Civil Construction.

A further development took the form of Petunia Mashaba (who joined Design Applications shareholders with a 15% of share acquisition). With these additions, Design Applications BBBEE status immediately increased and the boost was clearly visible in the company’s operations from February 2016.
